Character Development Workshop

Call Out | Character Development Workshop for ‘Roller Coaster’

We are seeking interested Performers who can roller skate to be a part of a character devising workshop for Roller Coaster – a fierce new participatory production, exploring the ups and downs of life on wheels, that will be presented in late 2023 on the Gold Coast.

The workshop will be a FUN, relaxed, and safe environment with playful improvisation tasks, physical movement and character devising on roller skates and some vocal/singing exercises.

We encourage skating humans of all cultural backgrounds and gender expressions who enjoy collaborative devising environments and have a combination of acting/ performance experience, are able to sing well and be confident and safe on roller skates, to get involved.

The workshop is voluntary participation, but ultimately there will be a mix of paid and voluntary roles once the project reaches presentation in late 2023.

WHEN: Tuesday 21st February

WHERE: HOTA, Home of the Arts – Outdoor stage

TIME: 10.30am – 12.30pm

WHO:  Performers/ Roller skaters interested in being a part of a large-scale show.
