Creative and Connected with Tania Hearn

Explore the power of typography, colour and creativity across two bright and bold workshops!

Create a neon portrait of your bestie or a glowing note for a friend or stranger, while learning creative techniques with local typography designer and mural artist Tania Hean.

Neon Notes at Helensvale Library
Join local typography designer and mural artist Tania Hean in our bright and bold Artist Corner at Helensvale Library to create a neon note with glowing colours, fun fonts and inspiring messages. Leave a note for a stranger or take one to gift to a friend.
This welcoming workshop is suitable for all ages and abilities and invites everyone to reflect, create and connect through the power of words and the simplicity of a handwritten note.
The simple act of putting a positive message into words has been shown to lift mood and counter negative self-talk.

Neon Neighbourhood at Helensvale Cultural Centre
Turn your bestie into a work of art! Create a bright neon portrait of your bestie, using typography, colour and creativity in this fun workshop for young people aged 12 to 16 at Helensvale Cultural Centre.
Bring a photo of a friend printed on A4 paper, their name and a list of the things you love about them, then turn it all into a bold, colourful portrait using fun fonts and neon colour. You’ll learn typography tricks and creative techniques with mural artist and designer Tania Hearn, then put your new skills to work creating a personalised artwork for your favourite person.
