Question 1

Three things about you that we won’t find in your bio?

  1. I volunteer with Guide Dogs Australia as a puppy raiser and an currently raising a 6 month old Guide Dog named ‘Yusef’!
  2. I’ve just signed up to run the Gold Coast Half Marathon – wish me luck!, it’s 21kms!
  3. I’ve lived short term overseas many times making music, back and forwards to Brighton in the UK, but the first place I travelled overseas was Norway and I got to experience (nearly) 24 hour darkness! I ate a lot of Skolebrød (vanilla custard buns) and had A LOT of working out to do when I got home………………. #movingcommunities
Question 2

What are you most excited about in joining Everybody NOW?

Everybody NOW! is the best company in the world. Their value alignment is so strong. They do what they say they’re going to do and treat people the way they say they are going to. It is very, very good and very, very rare.

Question 3

Who are your art-crushes?

Banks (US incredible musician & singer Jillian Rose Banks) is my absolute hero – I would fall over if I ever got to meet her, it’s a huge dream of mine to share the stage with her. We saw her in Melbourne last month and ended up getting matching rose tattoos. It was VERY VERY fun!!

I am obsessed with my friends who create art, I love going along and watching their shows, or buying what they’ve created. I seriously can’t wipe the stupid smile off my face when I get to see people I love in their element. I went along to Ayla’s album launch recently and I thought my cheeks were going to *explode* they were that rosie with pride!

Question 4

What is your Secret Talent?

I have a gap in between my two front teeth and that allows me to whistle five different ways! “The Gap” is meant to be very lucky as well.

A secret talent of mine that’s a bit more meaningful – well, if you put me on stage I am known to shamelessly exude the confidence of someone who adores the limelight, flowing seamlessly from songs to banter & back into songs – but in personal/group spaces I’m actually quite the opposite and being the centre of attention is a bit of a nightmare for me. I believe I’m good at linking people together and then taking a more supportive role in their conversation. I’d rather zone in on people and make them feel understood and important in those moments, rather than have them listen to what I have to say.

Question 5

The purpose of Everybody NOW! is To Move Communities – that movement can manifest in many ways; physically, socially, emotionally, and culturally. To be moved and to move together. What moves you?

Working on music with friends is the most meaningful thing in the world to me. When you’re in a room with a group of people, working on your art and completely in flow with each other, there is nothing quite like it. It’s not beyond me to shed a secret little happy tear in the middle of a rehearsal, or on stage, looking around me thinking “wow, these people actually want to be here with me, doing the exact thing I love most in this world, and they are feeling what I’m feeling”. I think that’s probably what’s drawn me to EBN – seeing that look in the faces of the collaborators and communities. It’s that “look” that drives me & the fact EBN intentionally curates experiences to evoke that “look”- well, sign me up for life, thank YOU! *chef’s kiss*.
