Explore the power of typography, colour and creativity across two bright and bold workshops!
Create a neon portrait of your bestie or a glowing note for a friend or stranger, while learning creative techniques with local typography designer and mural artist Tania Hean.
Join us for a bright and bold collage workshop suitable for all ages and abilities. Adults and kids alike will love cutting, tearing, sticking and arranging different colours and textures to create a vibrant paper pattern artwork to keep.
Move, connect, and embrace the flow in this joyful four-part dance workshop series with Melinda Davis. Through guided movement, playful improvisation, and creative exploration, you’ll discover freedom in your body while connecting with others in a welcoming, supportive space.
Slow down, switch off, and rediscover the joy of making. This gentle, neurodivergent-friendly workshop uses mindful drawing, watercolour, and repetitive mark-making techniques to support relaxation, focus, and creative expression in a welcoming, low-pressure environment.
Celebrate creativity, culture and community with free workshops led by local illustrator Jaelyn Biumaiwai (Jae’s Illustrations) at Helensvale Library this July and August. From self-portrait drawing to family-friendly cultural collage, there’s something for all ages. Can’t attend? Contribute to the Big Community Portrait Project anytime at the library’s Artist Corner.
