The Sound Collectors | Kunga Jungun
Step into a sonic adventure these school holidays!
Join Kombumerri musician and composer Lann Levinge for a nature-filled journey inviting young people to ‘Kunga Jungun’ which means to Hear Country in Yugambeh language.
- Explore sound, songlines, music and storytelling through a First Nations perspective,
- Roam the natural surroundings of HOTA, Home of the Arts,
- Collect field recordings and sounds of nature, and
- Compose your very own soundscape.
Bring your imagination, creative spirit, listening ears and music ideas as we learn to share stories through the world of soundscapes.
The workshops culminate in a special listening party for family and friends.
No technical skills required – Lann will guide you through the use of recording and editing gear.
Daily – Monday 22nd – Thursday 25 September
Attend all four-dates for a full creative journey or come along to one full day.
Registrations are FREE, but please register for attendance.
