TIN CAN RADIO
FREE WORKSHOP
Kids and Grandparents are invited to take over the radio airways this school holiday’s at HOTA.
Kids aged 7 and up can join a workshop with their grandparent or favourite old person to ‘make a radio station in day’. You’ll get to create your own radio segments, playlists and sound effects before signing up to host live as part of the daily broadcast.
Then, each day at HOTA during the Kid’s Takeover there will be more opportunities to get involved. Sign up as a guest presenter, roving reporter, submit your top tips and interview questions or simply enjoy the live broadcast exclusively hosted by the young and young at heart.
What to expect: A fun, playful and creative explorational into the world of radio – past and present! You’ll work together to design radio segments, record your own soundtracks and mix your classic hits playlist.
All participants will be asked to return to HOTA during Kids Take Over to host a session throughout the Tin Can Radio broadcast. This will be a 1hr requirement at a time convenient between 10am – 1pm Daily Monday 27 – Wednesday 29 September on the Café Terrace.
